Cantonese Ribs
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds HORMEL® ALWAYS TENDER® Pork Spareribs
MARINADE
1/4 cup HOUSE OF TSANG® Ginger Flavored Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons dry sherry
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
GLAZE
3 tablespoons HOUSE OF TSANG® hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon HOUSE OF TSANG™ Sesame Seed Oil

DIRECTIONS
Lightly score surface of ribs with knife. In large bowl, combine MARINADE ingredients. Add spare ribs, turning to coat. Set aside for 30 minutes or cover and refrigerate overnight. Heat oven to 350°F. In small bowl, combine GLAZE ingredients. Drain ribs, reserving marinade. Place ribs in a foil-lined baking pan. Bake 30 minutes. Turn meat over, baste with reserved MARINADE and bake 30 minutes longer or until tender when pierced with a knife and the internal temperature has reached 160°F. Adjust oven rack so meat will be 3 to 4 inches from the heat source. Brush GLAZE on both sides of ribs. Broil 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until richly glazed.
