| Stir-Fried Pork with Sweet and Sour Sauce |

2 packages HORMEL® ALWAYS TENDER® Pork Tenderloin (1 each)
|
|
1 teaspoon cornstarch
|
|
1 teaspoon salt
|
|
1 teaspoon soy sauce
|
|
1 teaspoon water
|
|
1/2 teaspoon sugar
|
|
1 garlic clove minced
|
|
ground white pepper
|
|
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
|
|
1 medium carrot sliced diagonally into thin slices
|
|
1/2 cup chicken broth
|
|
1 (8 1/4-ounce) can pineapple chunks drained
|
|
1/4 cup sugar
|
|
1/4 cup white vinegar
|
|
1 tablespoon soy sauce
|
|
1 tablespoon cornstarch
|
|
1 tablespoon water
|
|
1 medium green pepper cut into 1-inch pieces
|
|
2 green onions cut into 2-inch pieces
|
|
Hot cooked rice
|

| DIRECTIONS |
|
Cut tenderloins into strips; toss with combined cornstarch, salt, soy sauce, water, sugar, garlic, and white pepper. Cover; refrigerate 20 minutes. Heat wok or electric skillet; add oil, rotating to coat sides. Add pork; stir-fry until meat loses pink color. Stir in carrot and chicken broth. Cover; cook 1 minute. Stir in pineapple. Combine 1/4 cup sugar, vinegar, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce; stir into pork mixture. Heat to boiling. Combine 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water; stir into pork mixture. Cook, stirring until thickened. Add green pepper and green onion; cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Serve over hot cooked rice.
