| INGREDIENTS |

1 medium onion, finely chopped
|
|
2 cloves garlic, minced
|
|
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
|
|
1 can tomato sauce (15 ounce)
|
|
2/3 cup vinegar
|
|
2/3 cup brown sugar
|
|
2 tablespoons chili powder
|
|
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
|
|
1/2 teaspoon pepper
|
|
1 package HORMEL® ALWAYS TENDER® Pork Spareribs (about 3-1/2 lbs), St Louis style
|

| DIRECTIONS |
|
In large skillet over low heat, sauté onion and garlic in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients, except ribs. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place ribs on grill, meatiest side down, about 6 inches above low coals. Close grill hood. Cook 20 minutes; turn. Cook 45 minutes. Baste with sauce, close grill, and cook 10 minutes. Turn, baste, cook 10 minutes.
